Mahvash Vakili, President of Diversity Kids
A vision... for every parent to be able to explain why each doll is fashioned the way it is... and to take the time to talk with their kids about how we all fit in and how each of us helps define what is great about America.

A rude driver with an obnoxious bumper sticker helped motivate Mahvash to act on her long-time dream to help children and adults understand the depth and breadth of American diversity.  Her hope is that children learn and accept all of the differences that make each person unique -- their cultural heritage, geographic roots, or physical differences.  We allow a bit of imperfection on our dolls to give the message to the children that no one is perfect.  Because being American is a way of living, not a way of looking.
